The Russians “nationalized” the property of Kherson mayor Ihor Kolyhayev

In one of the propaganda channels, the Russians released a video in which they announced that they had “nationalized” the property of Kherson mayor Igor Kolyhayev. There is a lot of interesting in this video.

On the propaganda channel “Tavriya” they say that “All the property of the former mayor of Kherson has been nationalized and sealed today.”

The Russians say that last year they “arrested” Kolyhayev for anti-Russian activities and cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine. They also say that he, through his ex-wife, allegedly entrusted the management of his assets on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region to a Russian businessman named Albert Reztsia. It is impossible to verify this (“management” was entrusted with the words of the Russians themselves). It all ended with the arrival of collaborator Saldo together with Russian “law enforcement officers”. Actually, this is exactly what Saldo usually did in Kherson – before and during the occupation.

Igor Kolykhaev was kidnapped by the Russians on June 28, 2022. Since then, little is known about him – we have only separate testimonies of people who were also in captivity, saw and heard him. The last testimony was given in December by a woman who was then released: Kolykhaev was very sick, he was beaten a lot, tortured, and starved.

At the same time, many fakes are being spread about Igor Kolykhaev. But no thesis about his cooperation with the Russians has been confirmed so far: there are only separate opinions about his possible cooperation from those who usually theorize about the occupation and do not seek to understand the realities of life in the occupation, but have learned to hang labels.

Ukraine, in turn, is doing everything possible to release the current mayor of Kherson. The previous mayor, Volodymyr Mykolaenko, is also in captivity (he was kidnapped in April 2022). Oleksandr Babich, the mayor of Holaya Prystan, has been in captivity for a year.
