Russians steal air conditioners, destroys animals and cuts down the forest… This is about the situation in Melitopol district

The Russian military continues looting and increased pressure on the residents of the captured part of the Zaporizhzhia region. On April 18, the chairman of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said: “The inspection of men for the presence of tattoos has begun. At any checkpoint, they can undress to check tattoos. Fedorov added that over the past few weeks, at least 2,000 local residents have left the occupied territory of the Melitopol district.

The director of the Azov National Park, Dmytro Volovik, confirms the fact of “meat harvesting” by the occupiers in the reserve of Biryuchy Island, which is part of the Azov-Syvasky National Nature Park.

“There is confirmed information that the shot animals are taken out of Biryuchy by trucks. I know of the fact that when the occupiers shot a full KaMAZ of ungulates, blood just flowed from the body,” Volovik says.

During the year of occupation, more than 20 fires were recorded on the territory of the Azov National Park. In particular, in protected areas, such as the floodplain of the Berda River.

According to Volovik, one of the consequences of Russian aggression is the pollution of the Sea of ​​Azov. The main reason is the launch of rockets over the water area near Henichesk. A lot of rockets fall into the sea, the death of dolphins is recorded due to toxic compounds.
