Ruthless Destruction of Infrastructure of Ukrainian Cities

Since the beginning of the treacherous attack on the 24th of February 2022 and Russian bombing of peaceful Ukrainian cities, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mariupol, Sumy and other cities have been especially often bombarded and shelled.

Volunteers created a photo archive of the evidence of Russian occupants’ crimes in Ukraine Dmytro Kuzmin

Volunteers have created a photo archive of evidence of the crimes committed by Russian occupiers in Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion on 24 February 2022.

This is told by one of the volunteer initiators of the archive, CEO of Postmen communication agency Yaroslav Medved, on his Facebook page.

“We started creating a photo archive that can be found at https://bit.ly/RussianLosses — all losses, crimes, and captives of Russia. You may take an image at the link and distribute it throughout Russia”, volunteer says.

It worth reminding that earlier, to counter the propaganda of the Russian Federation, volunteers created a document to help communicating with Russians. The chart contained the key fakes introduced by Russian media and rebuttals thereto accompanied by corresponding photo and video proofs. The document is available at bit.ly/talk2russians.

At night, the aggressor shelled residential neighborhoods in Kharkiv, destroying the infrastructure, architectural monuments, markets, administrative buildings, dormitories, and schools.

About 40 houses suffered the greatest damage.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, assures that even wounded residents and soldiers hold out bravely.

“We love you, Kharkiv: an appeal to residents of impregnable eastern front

My favourite city, Kharkiv! You’ve always been and will always be one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine. We love you, Kharkivans! We stand with you! And we shall win!

Public utility companies work under constant fire of the enemy. However, they still manage to deliver humanitarian aid to Kharkiv residents who decided to stay in the city.

The mayor also warns against fakes. He says that citizens are called by phone on his behalf to warn that the mayor has allegedly surrendered the city.

No one will ever surrender Kharkiv!” Ihor Terekhov assures.

Many civilians died under shelling in Kharkiv — Ihor Terekhov

There are children among the dead.

Despite the losses, the city’s residents are strong-minded, united and confident of the victory of the Ukrainian army.

Many civilians, including children, died under shelling in Kharkiv. The death toll is known, but is not announced for ethical reasons. This was stated by Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov in an interview with Dmitry Gordon.

“Yes [a lot of dead people] I will not tell you the figure. I do not want to tell it, of course, I know it, but for ethical reasons I will not tell you. A large number of people among civilians have died, there are military casualties. This is war”, Terekhov said. “Unfortunately, there are [children among the dead]. There was a hit in a car, a family was driving and children were killed”.

The Kharkiv mayor visits the wounded at hospitals of the city. As Mr. Terekhov noted, residents today are united and strong-minded as never before, everyone expresses confidence in the victory of Ukraine.

“I visited one of the medical institutions yesterday and visited our wounded military and civilians who came out to the street near the aircraft factory. A bomb exploded. Some were killed, some survived, there were twins… Nevertheless, people out there on life-support machines remain conscious, and as I come up one of them clenches a fist telling “We will win”. This is an ordinary man, an ordinary Kharkivan! He says: “Ihor Oleksandrovych, we stay together, we are Kharkivans, and we shall win. People are united. He was wounded and he was operated on. He holds on. There was another woman of advanced age who suffered from bomb explosion. She is also there saying: “We are together, ya’ll do good job”. Just imagine how strong spirit we have! ” the mayor stressed.

As KHARKIV Today wrote, around 5 a.m. on February 24, Russia launched an offensive against Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi declared martial law throughout Ukraine and mobilization thereafter. A curfew was imposed in Kharkiv oblast from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Russia drops bombs, intended for fortified structures, on residential houses of Chernihiv

Russian troops drop powerful indiscriminate weapons — unguided FAB-500 aerial bombs — on houses in Chernihiv. Such weapons are usually applied against military-industrial facilities and fortified structures.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the head of Chernihiv Regional State Administration Viacheslav Chaus.

Three of such unexploded bombs were found on March 5 at the site of crash of a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber that was shot down by air defence soldiers near Chernihiv in the morning.

“Unable to overcome the resistance of Ukrainian troops, the Russian invading army has been committing terrorist acts against the residents of Ukraine in recent days. For 3 days in a row it has been carrying out airstrikes on residential areas of the city and social facilities”, Chaus reported.

We recall that a rocket hit an apartment house in the downtown Chernihiv, as a result of which two floors caught fire. Nothing is yet known about the number of casualties. One woman was injured during the shelling. She received minor injuries.

Earlier, there was an interrogation of a Russian pilot shot down near Chernihiv, who flew the Su-25 plane bombing the city.
