Rocket attack on a high-rise building in Uman: the regional military administration reported the latest news about the dead and injured

A search and rescue operation has been going on for more than 30 hours in Uman at the site of a Russian missile attack on a high-rise building. As a result of the Russian attack on the high-rise building, 23 people died: 22 were pulled out from under the rubble, one more person died in the hospital.

Six children were among the dead: three boys (one and a half, 16 and 17 years old) and three girls (8, 11 and 14 years old).

This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Ihor Taburets: “Services worked all night. Rescuers continue to dismantle structures and search for victims. For now, one woman is considered missing. The main stage of the work should be completed in the evening.

Five victims are in hospital. Among them, one person is in a serious condition, and two are in a medium condition.

According to the head of the regional military administration, five aid stations for victims have been deployed in the city. So far, 176 people have been resettled in temporary housing.

Russian attack on Uman

The Russian Federation launched a missile attack on a high-rise building in Uman on the night of April 28. Russian troops almost completely destroyed one entrance – that’s 27 apartments. Previously, the Russians hit the house with an Kh-101 missile.

On the morning of April 29, it became known that a fire broke out again in a high-rise building in Uman, which was hit by a rocket of the Russian occupiers. Meanwhile, rescuers continue the operation to eliminate the consequences.

There is no one to look for anymore: the rescue work has ended in Uman

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, said that the search and rescue operation in Uman after the enemy missile attack has ended.

There was a special headquarters where direct relatives of the dead could submit biological samples for DNA comparison. 2 more women are considered missing, Klymenko noted.

Rescuers worked to the limit to pull people out from under the rubble. Heavy machinery and special equipment were involved. Police and volunteers helped.
