Today, the russian occupants launched a massive missile and air strike, the information will be published once it is updated.
During the day of May 21, the adversary launched 6x missile and 52x air strikes, 65x MLRS attacks. The attacks destroyed and damaged private housing and other civilian infrastructure. To strike the Ukrainian cities of Lyman, Slovyansk, and Kostyantynivka, the adversary has yet again used S-300 air defense systems, which are not high-precision weapons. This once again emphasizes the terror tactics the russian federation chooses to use.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains very high.
The adversary continues to focus its main efforts on Kup’yans’k, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mar’inka axes. During the day of May 21, 37x combat engagements took place in the above areas of the frontline. Bakhmut and Mar’inka are at the epicenter of the fighting.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary continues to maintain military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups are active in certain areas of the state border. During the day of May 21, the invaders fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Mykolaivka (Chernihiv oblast), Prohres, Studenok, Bilokopytove, Vovkivka, Volfyne, Zapsillya, Mykhailivka (Sumy oblast), Udy, Hraniv, Zelene, Starytsya, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchans’k, Nesterne, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).
Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary keeps trying to improve its tactical situation. During the day of May 21, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the vicinity of Masyutivka. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at Kam’yanka, Kolodyazne, Krasne Pershe, Petro-Ivanivka, Fyholivka, Novomlyns’k, Zapadne, Monachynivka, Masyutivka, Tabaivka, Berestove (Berestove Kharkiv oblast), and Stel’makhivka (Luhansk oblast).
Lyman axis: during the day of May 21, the enemy conducted offensive operations towards Ivano-Dar’ivka, to no success. Russian aircraft launched air strikes in the vicinity of Nevs’ke. Makiivka, Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Tors’ke, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.
Bakhmut axis: the enemy continues its offensive operations. Fighting for the city of Bakhmut continues. During the day of May 21, the adversary made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground south of the settlement of Ivanivske. In addition, the adversary conducted offensive operations towards Hryhorivka, to no success. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bakhmut and Ivanivske. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Bila Hora, Toretsk, and New York (Donetsk oblast) suffered from enemy shelling.
Avdiivka axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful offensives towards Avdiivka and Pervomais’ke. During the day of May 21, the invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Avdiivka. The occupiers shelled the settlements of Novokalynove, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Pervomais’ke, Karlivka, and Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast).
Mar’inka axis: Ukrainian Defense Forces continue repelled adversary attacks in the vicinity of Mar’inka. The enemy launched air strikes near Mar’inka and in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka. At the same time, Heorhiivka, Pobjeda, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled by the enemy.
Shakhtars’ke axis: the adversary did not conduct any offensive operations. At the same time, the russian forces used aircraft to strike near Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Velyka Novosilka. The invaders shelled the settlements of Vodyane and Vuhledar with artillery.
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes: the adversary stays on the defensive. The invaders do not cease its tactics of destruction of the infrastructure of settlements near the line of active combat. During the day of May 21, the occupant forces launched air strikes at Novodanylivka, Stepove (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Stanislav, Kizomys (Kherson oblast). The invaders also shelled Vremivka, Burlats’ke, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novopil’ (Donetsk oblast), Ol’hivs’ke, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Bilohir’ya, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kam’yans’ke (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Kherson, Mykhailivka, Kozats’ke, Burhunka, Tyahynka, Molodizhne, and Kizomys (Kherson oblast).
Against the backdrop of significant casualties, the russian military leadership decided to reduce the training period for recruited convicts whose base camp is deployed in Starobil’s’kyi district (Luhansk oblast) to 10 days. Earlier, about 1,000 new recruits were brought to the camp from prisons in Russia. The training was planned to last for four weeks.
During the day of May 21, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 14x air strikes on the concentrations of troops and military equipment, as well as 7x air strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems the adversary.
3x reconnaissance UAVs of various types as well as 5x combat UAVs of the enemy were intercepted.
The Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 5x concentrations of troops, 2x ammunition depots, 3x artillery units at their firing positions, 2x command posts, 1x electronic warfare station, 1x anti-aircraft missile system, and 1x other important target of the adversary.
