Russian troops continue to prepare for a counteroffensive by Ukrainian defenders and build defense lines in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. They mine fields and dams in the region. Yuriy Malashko, head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, announced this. Every day, along the entire front line in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians are “dug in” and mining the territories. Also, the Russians mined the fields even sown.
“They pass chaotically, without understanding what they are doing. We also understand that after de-occupation there will be a lot of demining work. … We also have information about the fact that they have mined the dams and are preparing for de-occupation, whether they have already returned home,” said Yurii Malashko.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians are building defense lines from water. In order to flood the fields, the enemy cut off the water supply and left three settlements in the temporarily occupied part of the region without water. Russian troops flooded the fields near Mykhailivka. Currently, water is standing in the fields of settlements in the Yakymiv district: Petrivka, Annivka, Vyazovka and Elizavetivka.
