Confirmation of the harsh treatment of Russian military personnel to the civilian population

The sudden takeover of Ukraine by the federation failed with a parade, flowers, and Ukrainians who are so happy about their “liberation”. The occupiers have been terrorizing and bombing the civilian population of Ukraine since the very first day of February 24, 2022.  Small towns and suburbs of million-plus cities, which the enemy cannot capture, are literally wiped off the face of the earth, often together with the inhabitants. The Federation does not abandon the idea of its inadequate “Führer” to subjugate Ukraine and to destroy the legitimately elected authorities of the country.

FSB prepares punitive operations in captured Ukrainian cities to break population resistance – Financial Times

The Russian FSB has been instructed to prepare punitive operations in seized Ukrainian cities in order to break the resistance of the population and revive the Russian army invasion of Ukraine which has been bogged down. This was reported by the BBC Russian Service, citing the British newspaper Financial Times.

“They are developing scenarios for aggressively suppressing possible protests and resistance, including violent crowd dispersal, reprisals against organizers, and possibly even public executions to intimidate protesting Ukrainians,” as an unnamed European official is quoted by the newspaper.

As previously reported, Ukrainian citizens offered resolute resistance to the Russian army, which Vladimir Putin sent to “liberate” them from “a gang of drug addicts, neo-Nazis, and Bandera activists.” Unarmed Ukrainians lie down under tanks, protest in captured cities, and engage in open clashes with heavily armed Russian soldiers.

Punitive operations will allow Putin to crush this resistance and make life easier for the army,” analysts polled by the newspaper believe.

Occupying an entire country requires 20 soldiers per 1,000 population, according to a study by the U.S. military academy USAWC, but in Chechnya, Russia they needed more than 150. That’s very costly, and punitive operations make the military cheaper.

“Given Ukraine’s vast territory, it will be hard for Moscow to resist the temptation to resort to terror. This is a cheap and proven method in the face of a shortage of personnel,” the FT quoted Sergio Jaramillo, former Colombian military officer and now senior adviser to the European Institute of Peace.

During the distribution of bread and medicine, Russian occupants shot the mayor of Hostomel

According to the Hostomel village council, he was shot while he and other volunteers were distributing bread and medicine to civilians still remaining in the settlement near Kyiv.

“No one forced him to go under the bullets of the occupiers. He could, like hundreds of others, sit in a cellar. And who could blame him? But they were waiting for him, hoping for him, believing in him. And he made his choice. He died for the community, he died for Hostomel, he died as a hero,” they added.

In Hostomel since the first days of Russia’s war against Ukraine there have been fierce battles. The occupiers captured at least 40 local residents. People have stopped making contact.

All efforts are aimed at evacuating the civilian population from the settlement.
