On July 10, in Orihiv, in the Zaporizhzhia region, emergency and rescue operations are underway at the site of enemy shelling that occurred the day before. So far, 5 dead and 13 injured citizens are known.
This was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. the Russians carried out an airstrike on a secondary school in the city of Orihiv, where peaceful citizens were receiving humanitarian aid at that time.
An aerial bomb almost completely destroyed the building. As a result of the explosion, five citizens died, 13 more were injured.
Under the rubble of the destroyed institution, more than a half dozen people who were inside and nearby outside were found. Residential buildings and other objects of civil infrastructure located near the epicenter of the explosion were also damaged. The bodies of four dead people – three women and a man – were unblocked. Eleven more rescued citizens with injuries of varying degrees of severity were hospitalized after providing first aid.
Rescue operations are currently ongoing. Sappers determine the type of ammunition used on the civilian population.
Yuliya Barysheva, head of the media relations department of the main department of the Zaporizhzhya region State Emergency Service, officially announced at a press conference that search and rescue operations are still ongoing in Orihiv. According to her, the work of rescuers is complicated by the fact that the Russians continue to shell the city. Thus, during the last air alert, the Rashists again hit the place near yesterday’s “arrival” with an aerial bomb. She also said rescuers believe three people are still under the rubble. According to Yulia Barysheva, at the time of the attack, there were local residents, school employees and volunteers at the Point of Invincibility.
In the evening of July 10, the bodies of two more people were found under the rubble of the building. The number of dead has increased to 7 people. Rescuers have completed the search.
