The Russian military is going to drill new deep wells in the Kherson region

In order to solve the problem of water supply in the coastal settlements of the Kakhovsky district on the temporarily occupied left bank part of the Kherson region, the Russians are going to drill new deeper wells. After they blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP and destroyed the Kakhovskaya reservoir, the water level in the existing wells dropped, and in some villages the water in them disappeared altogether.

This was reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations with reference to Russian Telegram channels and its own sources.

According to the information of the occupiers, water has completely disappeared in the wells of the village of Sofiivka, Lyubimivka community, Kakhovsky district. They claim that they brought drinking water there on July 9 and plan to bring it in the future.

The occupiers also assure that they will drill new deeper wells below the current water level in the Dnipro to provide the local population with drinking water – one in Sofiivka and eight in Kakhovka.
