A shell hit the yard: a woman died as a result of enemy shelling in the Kherson region
Explosions in Mykilske settlement (Dariivska rural community, Kherson district) sounded around 12:00 Thursday. It is known that the Russian Federation used artillery for the attack.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation staged a shelling of the settlement. On July 13, Russian soldiers killed a civilian in the Kherson region. She died as a result of shelling by the Russian Armed Forces in the village of Mykilske, Kherson district.
The tragedy was confirmed by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, who wrote that the deceased was 85 years old.
One of the shells hit the yard of an elderly woman. The civilian died on the spot.
“Doctors who arrived at the scene of the tragedy only declared her dead. The woman received life-threatening injuries,” said the head of the regional military administration.
Consequences of shelling
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that it has started a pre-trial investigation into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
– On the morning of July 11, Russian troops attacked the village of Sofiyivka in the Kherson region with “Hrads”. As a result of enemy shelling, a woman died, another man was wounded.
– On the afternoon of July 11, the Russians struck the residential quarters of Kherson. At least five residential buildings and a humanitarian headquarters were affected, and there are wounded, including an 8-year-old child.
Zaporizhzhia region
The Russians hit a village in Zaporizhzhia from “Iskander”, as a result of Russian attacks in the region, one person was killed and 4 wounded – the regional military administration
On July 13, Russian troops today shelled Orykhiv, Verkhnya Tersa and Malokaterinivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and 4 wounded, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration said on Thursday: “Russian troops attacked the front-line town of Orykhiv. As a result of the blow, an 87-year-old man was injured, and a 40-year-old resident died from his injuries. Also, a 66-year-old resident of Verkhnia Tersa was wounded during shelling from an anti-aircraft missile. He was taken to a medical facility,” Malashko wrote.
According to him, “from the ballistic operational-tactical missile systems “Iskander-K” the russian targeted the territory of the enterprise in Malokaterinivka. The warehouse was partially destroyed by the blast wave and debris. Two people were injured, they are being provided with the necessary medical assistance,” Malashko said.
The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that today Russian troops opened fire with mortars on Orikhov in the Zaporizhzhia region, and one person was killed.
