RUSSIAN WAR CRIMES AND HUMAN RIGHT VIOLATIONS IN THE
WAR IN UKRAINE
As a result of hostilities, more than 742 thousand people have lost access to
electricity, – the Ministry of Energy
Adviser to the Minister of Interior Anton Gerashchenko published a recording of
talks between the Russian occupiers, where they discuss the shooting of civilian
Ukrainians. Russian soldiers first divided them, searched them, and then decided
to shoot them. His wife asks why Ukrainians were simply not captured.
The Russian occupant replied that Russians have no possibility for prisoners to be
held, no food to feed them, and they were shot, because the Ukrainians could tell
where the Russian soldiers were and disclose their position, or how many mortars
and cars they have.
State Emergency Service of Ukraine informs:
The enemy captured two fire and rescue units, destroyed 55 units of equipment and
39 buildings of the SES. Since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine, 12
employees of the State Emergency Service have been killed and 24 rescuers
have been injured.
As a result of the shelling of SES units by Russian troops, 55 units of SES equipment were destroyed, 2 units were seized, and 15 units were damaged (Volyn, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson regions, and Kyiv).
In addition, the occupants destroyed 39 buildings, damaged – 24 buildings (Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson
regions, Kyiv and Nizhyn); two fire and rescue units were captured.
There are 121 fire and rescue units in the occupied territory
National Police of Ukraine:
During the war started by Russia attacking Ukraine’s territory, 22 policemen were
killed, 88 policemen were seriously injured, seven went missing. “Police continue to work hard under martial law – record crimes, evacuate people, serve at
checkpoints, check documents, inspect vehicles, search for saboteurs and counter
looting”
As a result of rocket strikes and bombings by the Russian army in Mariupol, the
building housing the Greek Consulate General and the office of the OSCE
Special Monitoring Mission was damaged, as well as the premises of the
honorary consulates of Slovenia, Azerbaijan and Albania in Kharkiv.
