The deputy chairman of the Snyatyn community, Vasyl Anatiychuk, said: “On the morning of August 15, fragments of a Russian rocket fell in one of the villages of our territorial community. Damaged houses, farm premises and buildings. Fortunately, no one was injured.”

According to him, in the morning a meeting of the commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergency situations of the city council took place.

“By the chairman’s order, a commission was formed to draw up acts on damaged property and create an action plan for the further restoration of buildings and these structures. The house where the debris of the rocket fell was the most affected. The windows were broken, the roof was damaged. The house is subject to restoration,” he adds. Vasyl Anatiychuk.

Investigators and explosives experts are working on the spot.

What is known about shelling in Frankiv region

Since February 24, 2022, Russian troops have been shelling airfields, a thermal power plant and a house in the Tlumatsk community in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Rocket strike in Kolomyysk district

On August 11, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a Russian “Kinjal” missile hit the territory of a private house in the Kolomyia district. A family with three children lived there. 8-year-old Volodya Balabanyk, who was in the yard, died during the rocket attack.

During the August 11 attack, the Russians directed four Kinjal missiles at Ivano-Frankivsk region to strike a military airfield and young pilots who would soon be leaving for training in Europe.
