“The body of a woman, a man killed by grief nearby, and another drone in the sky” – the medic told about the consequences of shelling in Nikopol

Doctor Valentynа Marchenko told about the tragic consequences of shelling in Nikopol, as a result of which a woman died and a man was wounded.

On one of the days last week, in broad daylight, when people were doing their business, consulting on the economy, Russian troops from the opposite bank of the former Kakhovsky Reservoir decided to remind themselves once again. They began shelling the village on the coast with barrel artillery and simultaneously launched several UAVs over the city of Nikopol itself, the medic wrote.

The central operational control room received a call from the “102” operator that one of the drones had hit a private house and there were two victims. The team of the Nikopol emergency medical aid substation immediately responded to the call, consisting of paramedic Valentina Poedynkova and driver Serhiy Rudnytskyi.

The emergency medical team was the first to arrive at the scene and found a terrible picture: a mutilated household, a house, outbuildings, all around rubble and among them the body of the housewife, a 67-year-old woman and her grief-stricken 68-year-old husband with shrapnel wounds to the shoulder and hip.

The paramedic quickly examined the injured, provided medical assistance to the man, and given the fact that another drone was hanging over the former reservoir in the field of vision, picked up the injured and hurried to leave the danger zone. The patient was hospitalized. The brigade returned to the substation.
