The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck a TPP in Ukraine: two units of the station stopped work

The Ministry of Energy added that due to the shutdown of thermal units, as well as a decrease in the ambient temperature, a temporary shortage of electricity is recorded.

On December 7, the armed forces of the Russian Federation struck the TPP, which is located in the front-line zone. The equipment was seriously damaged as a result of the shelling. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“This afternoon, the Russians attacked one of the TPPs in the front-line area. As a result of the shelling, the equipment was seriously damaged. Two power units stopped working,” the press service said.

The Ministry of Energy added that due to the shutdown of thermal units, as well as a decrease in ambient temperature, a temporary shortage of electricity in the power system is recorded.

“The Ministry of Energy appeals to consumers to support energy workers — to consume electricity wisely and sparingly, especially during peak load hours,” the message reads.
