The Russian army shelled the Sumy region: three dead and one wounded, numerous destructions

As a result of Russian shelling on January 29 in the Sumy region, 3 people were killed and 1 was injured, damage was caused to civilian infrastructure, including a post office, a bakery, a shop and residential buildings. The attack was aimed at the Znob-Novgorod community using mortars and rocket launchers.

Three people were killed and one was injured due to Russian shelling of the Znob-Novgorod territorial community. This is the Sumy region. The Russians fired mortars and MLRS. The regional police spoke about the consequences of the attack.

“Today, the Russian army shelled the Znob-Novgorod territorial community. Unfortunately, it was not without victims. The police, medics, rescuers are working on the spot. The Russians fired mortars and multiple rocket launchers at civilian infrastructure. A woman and a man were killed by the shelling, whose bodies were recovered from under the rubble, another local resident died on the way to the hospital,” the police said. The police added that at the moment there is also information about one injured person. He was hospitalized. Doctors are taking care of the injured. In addition, the buildings of the post office, a local bakery, a store, and at least 6 houses were damaged by the blows. And also one civilian car, farm buildings and power lines.

Due to the fact of shelling, the law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of laws and customs of war”.
