On the night of February 14, the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Kulish came under Russian fire.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
As a result of the shelling, 36 windows in the theater were blown out, and the residential quarters of the city were also significantly damaged.
Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Kulish is one of the largest theaters in southern Ukraine.
The institution was named after the writer and playwright Mykola Kulish in 1990. In 2005, the theater received academic status.
Before the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the repertoire of the Kulish theater included 57 performances of works by Ukrainian and foreign playwrights.
Oleksandr Knyga has been managing the theater for the past 34 years.
