Private houses and farm property were damaged during the shelling of the Sumy region

Under the procedural leadership of the Okhtyrskуі district prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on February 26, around 2 a.m., the occupiers, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation at the civilian infrastructure of the Velikopysarіvska territorial community of the Okhtyrskуі district. As a result of the Russian attack, three private houses, farm property, in particular, a building, agricultural machinery and a car were damaged.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, record the consequences of the shelling. In the future, the materials of the criminal proceedings will be transferred to the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
