A 52-year-old man was injured in a drone attack in the Kyiv region

A man was injured and several private buildings were damaged during a night-time drone attack in the Kyiv region

On October 2, the consequences of a new attack by the Russian Federation using unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded in the Kyiv region. The incident occurred in the Vyshgorod and Buchansky districts of the Kyiv region.

As of 17:30, in the Vyshgorod district, drone debris damaged the roof of a private house, which caused a fire. The fire was extinguished, but the 52-year-old homeowner received thermal burns to his hands and feet and was hospitalized at a local medical facility. In the Buchansky district, a utility room on the territory of a private household was also hit by the shelling.

The Kyiv region police investigation group, patrol police, explosives technicians and rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working at the scene. Joint actions of law enforcement officers and rescuers allowed to promptly assess the damage and ensure the safety of local residents.

According to the investigation, criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing, law enforcement officers continue to document all the consequences of the attack and take measures to find the perpetrators.
