Local residents of occupied Seversko-Donetsk share the bitter details of their daily lives. People die because they cannot call an ambulance, generators for the water utility are turning into dust without fuel, and workers are paid only after inspections by the “prosecutor’s office.” This is the everyday life of the occupied city.
Local residents share the catastrophic situation in the occupied city.
The city is run by the occupation administration, and the streets are mostly populated by elderly people. And there are few of them in the city, the percentage of residential apartments is very small. Some residents come for a short time, update the signs with meter readings on the doors of apartments and go to safer cities.
One of the main problems is the complete lack of stable communication. People cannot call an ambulance, and this has already led to numerous deaths.
The scariest thing is when you hear that someone died just because they couldn’t get through on the phone.
The water supply situation is also critical. The occupation authorities report on “help from the bosses” and post photos of generators supposedly handed over to the water utility, but they still remain disconnected – there is no fuel.
The financial situation of the residents is also alarming. Utility workers were paid their salaries for the past months only after an inspection by the so-called “prosecutor’s office”.
Despite the propaganda reports of the occupation administration, the reality in the city is far from the promised “well-being” – the lack of basic conditions, lack of resources and a constant sense of danger have become commonplace for those who remained in the city.
