A civilian was killed in the Russian shelling of the Belozer community of the Kherson region. The Russians hit the community with artillery.
As reported in the press services of the prosecutor’s office of the Kherson region and the Office of the General Prosecutor, the enemy shelling took place around 11:20 on November 17.
According to the head of the Kherson regional military administration, the tragedy occurred in the village of Weletensky — a projectile hit a private home. A 60-year-old local resident was fatally wounded.
Details of other injuries from this terrorist attack were still being determined at the time of this article’s publication.
Law enforcement officers have opened proceedings under part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder” over the fact of shelling and killing of a civilian resident of the village. The guilty face life imprisonment.
