One person died on October 1 as a result of Russian shelling in Vovchansk, reports the Main Department of Police in the Kharkiv Region. It is noted that the report about the death of a civilian man was received by the local police at 11:00.
The identity of the deceased is being established. Traditionally, a case was opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code (violation of the laws and customs of war). The regional military administration specified that the man was 63 years old.
The law enforcement officers also published a photo from the scene of the incident, which took place in the central square of the city – on Sobornia Street near the corner with Aviatsiyna Street.
In turn, the regional prosecutor’s office also reported on the shelling of the Pidlyman village of the Boriv community of the Izyum district around 9:00 a.m. on October 1, as a result of which private homes were damaged.
