On the morning of February 12, Russian troops launched a ballistic strike on Kyiv. As a result of the Russian attack, debris from downed missiles was recorded in several districts, there were victims and injured people. During the attack, air defense calculations destroyed six Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles over the capital.
In the Obolonskyі district, the blast wave damaged office buildings – their windows were broken out, the walls were partially destroyed. A deep crater formed at the site of the missile’s fall.
The view here is sad and painful. If you go into the courtyards, you can see huge craters left by Russian missiles. Destroyed cars, piles of earth, broken doors and windows. A large industrial zone was damaged – business centers, office and residential buildings. The impact was so strong that, according to eyewitnesses, men lost consciousness. Miraculously, major casualties were avoided.
“Unfortunately, one person died as a result of the shelling. Three people were also injured, including a 9-year-old girl,” said Kyiv chairman Vitaliy Klitschko.
Law enforcement officers and rescuers are still working at the scene of the tragedy, and municipal services have already begun clearing the area of debris.
