The Russians shelled Odesa region with Kh-22 missiles from long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, the Ukrainian military reported
As a result of nighttime rocket attacks by the Russian occupiers on objects of civil and tourist infrastructure in the Odesa and Belgorod-Dniester districts, there have been casualties and destruction.
The Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports: “One man was killed and two others were injured from the explosion of an enemy rocket on the territory of a warehouse of a food enterprise in the Odesa district.”
It is noted that the three-story warehouse building was significantly damaged.
In addition, due to rocket attacks on resort villages in the Bilhorod-Dniester region, a recreation base was completely destroyed, as well as at least five neighboring bases and more than 20 private summer houses were damaged, the regional prosecutor’s office added.
A blow to Odesa region: the Russians destroyed the warehouse of the Red Cross
In Odesa, as a result of a missile attack on May 8, a warehouse with humanitarian aid from the Red Cross Society of Ukraine was completely destroyed.
This was reported by the organization’s press service.
“As a result of a missile attack on Odesa on May 8, 2023, the leased warehouse of the Odesa regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine with an area of 1,000 square meters was completely destroyed,” the message says.
It is noted that the fire completely destroyed the humanitarian aid for the Odesa region, which was in the warehouse. Red Cross representatives were not present at the time of the rocket attack “The provision of humanitarian aid and the activities of some projects of the Odesa regional organization of the Red Cross of Ukraine have been suspended,” the Society reports.
