A Russian subversive intelligence group shot a car with a civilian in it in the Chernihiv region. It happened on Wednesday, January 10.

The head of the Novgorod-Siversk district military administration, Serhiy Sergienko, told about it. According to him, in the Semenivska community, a Russian sabotage and intelligence group shot a car in which a civilian man was at the time.

The tragedy occurred between the villages of Gremyachka and Leonivka, approximately 500 meters from the border with the Russian Federation.

Sergienko said that this man managed to take his child on the bus to Semenivka and was returning to Kostobobrov. He died as a result of the shooting.

The deceased was born in 1961 and worked as a school bus driver in the village of Kostobobriv, added the head of the Novgorod-Siversky district military administration.

The activity of Russian sabotage and intelligence groups has increased significantly, so now the risk of their penetration into Ukraine is along the entire length of the border with the Russian Federation, said the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

The spokesman of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is convinced that the Russians will continue to try to use subversive and reconnaissance groups to identify the positions of the Defense Forces and strike them. He assured that Ukrainian defenders are well aware of the threat.

Recently, the Russians have activated sabotage and intelligence groups in the Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions. It is known that the border guards and territorial defense forces knocked out the saboteurs across the state border. Employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are recruiting anti-sabotage reserves and various tactics are being developed that allow timely identification and neutralization of Russian military personnel.
