A train with 593 passengers was heading to the Odesa region: it was hit by a Russian “shaheed”

On August 23, a Russian strike drone hit the locomotive of a passenger train on the Zhytomyr-Odesa route in the Odesa region. Before the attack, the railway monitoring team announced an evacuation in advance. The train was urgently stopped on the stretch, and passengers, train and locomotive crew employees were evacuated. According to available information, no people were injured.

At the time of the attack, there were 593 passengers on the train, including 15 children. After the attack, their further transportation to Odesa is being organized.

Representatives of the Odesa regional military administration and rescuers joined the work at the scene. The circumstances and consequences of the attack are being clarified.

Russians hit a passenger train in the Odesa region again

The Russian military struck a passenger train on the Zhytomyr-Odesa route for the second time. There were no casualties, and all passengers were taken to Odesa.

According to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, almost 600 passengers, including 15 children, were attacked by Russian jet drones. The Russians hit the passenger train, and after the first strike, when rescuers and emergency services were already working on the scene, they struck again. Fortunately, no one was injured.

After the first attack, the train was urgently stopped, and all passengers, train and locomotive crews were evacuated to a safe distance.

People were quickly taken from the scene of the strike. Emergency medical teams were on duty along the evacuation route.

The evacuation is now complete. All passengers have been taken to Odesa.
