A woman died in Sumy as a result of an airstrike

Under the procedural leadership of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on May 11, 2024, at around 4:10 p.m., using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the Russians launched an airstrike on the city of Sumy.

A 37-year-old woman died as a result of the Russian attack.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, document the consequences of the shootings. Pre-trial investigation – Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region, the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
