Kherson and the right-bank part of the region celebrated the anniversary of liberation from Russian occupation. For almost 9 months, a part of the Kherson region was under enemy handcuffs. Many local residents had to go through captivity, torture, torture, moral and physical humiliation. However, the Ukrainians persevered and did not break down.
But after the de-occupation of the right-bank Kherson region, the local population expected new tests: the Russians began to terrorize with terrible mass shelling. Peaceful people die almost every day, the infrastructure of the city and the homes of the citizens are destroyed.
During the year after de-occupation, the Russian army killed 405 people in Kherson and the region, including ten children.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, reported on the terrible losses.
According to Prokudin, 1,705 people, including 72 children, were injured.
In the year after de-occupation, law enforcement officers recorded more than 18,000 criminal offenses against peace, security and international law. Three people were convicted in these cases, and another 62 reported suspicions. There were more than 1,500 cases of abduction of Ukrainians, of which the Russians are still holding at least 853 people.
As for children deprived of parental care, 1,026 of them are currently in the occupied territories or in Russia. It is still unknown where 140 orphans are. At the same time, Ukraine managed to return 146 children.
