About 2,000 civilians remain in occupied Oleshky

Approximately 2,000 civilians, including at least 45 children, currently remain in the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region.

According to Tetiana Hasanenko, head of the Oleshky City Military Administration, a total of 6,000 people—including 180 children—still reside in the community, which encompasses the town and surrounding villages. Of the 13 settlements in the Oleshky community, five have been completely destroyed, while another three have suffered approximately 80% destruction. Only a handful of residents remain in some of the villages.

The community also includes the village of Krynky, which served as a bridgehead for the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Civilians currently have no way to safely leave the blockaded area.
