On the night of March 9, the Russians once again attacked the capital and the region with strike UAVs. Near Kyiv, air defense forces shot down 12 drones, there were no injuries or casualties in the city. In Kyiv region, debris fell in Buchansky and Brovarsky districts, damaging a building and cars.

This is stated in the message of the Kyiv City Military Administration and information from the acting head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.

“At night, 33 enemy UAVs were recorded on the approaches to the capital. 12 of them were destroyed by air defense means, the rest were lost in location or left the airspace,” the Kyiv City Military Administration said in a post.

It is noted that there was no information about damage and casualties as a result of falling debris.

The head of the Kyiv region reported that the consequences of the Russian attack were recorded in the Buchanan and Brovarskyi districts.

“In the Brovarskyi district, an outbuilding was damaged. In the Buchanan district, three cars were damaged in two settlements,” Mykola Kalashnyk reported.

He added that no hits were made on critical and residential infrastructure.

Recall that on the night of March 9, 2025 (from 19:00 on March 8), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 119 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types. Within 12 regions, 73 drones were shot down, and another 37 were lost in location.
