All classrooms destroyed: Russia cynically attacked a lyceum for children with special needs in Kharkiv

On January 26, 2026, Russia launched a massive attack on Kharkiv, destroying a lyceum for children with special needs.

All 22 classrooms and a gymnasium were damaged in the lyceum, but fortunately there were no injuries, and education continues remotely.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of destruction, in particular, the educational institution was damaged.

This is a lyceum where children with special needs studied. For years, they built and created everything necessary for a high-quality and comfortable educational program, but the Russians destroyed everything.

The educational institution was damaged due to a direct hit by a missile. A fire broke out in one of the buildings.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. The classrooms were badly damaged, the gym was destroyed. Employees, volunteers and parents of the children came to clean up the consequences of the enemy strike.

The children did not attend the lyceum every day, as the lessons were partly conducted remotely, but they came to educational events organized by teachers.

All 22 classrooms were damaged. The dormitory building was also damaged. No comments… There is only one thing – faith in our people. We will recover, we will work, and children will come, and children’s laughter will be heard in this rebuilt school, – emphasized the director of the Kharkiv Special School.

The example of many educational institutions in Kharkiv proves that the educational process can be restored in this lyceum as well. Despite everything, distance learning remains there.
