Almost 300 houses were mutilated: people in the village live under shelling in Nikopol region

Local residents told how people in the village of Vyshchetarasivka live under shelling in the Nikopol region.

“20-30 shells arrived. And drones, drone attacks. It was last year and already this year. Shells have already flown here 3 times. Everything is broken, the roof has been changed, we don’t do anything here anymore, because we don’t know what he’s doing next,” says Stanislav Halamay, a farmer.

The man has been working with grain for over 40 years. It has 6 thousand hectares of fields. Gives work to two hundred fellow villagers. They risk their lives every day.

“There is nothing for people to do around here. We had 2 men wounded. That’s how the projectile arrived and that’s it,” says the man.

There is not a single surviving hangar on the territory of the agricultural enterprise. Shells also damaged equipment – two tractors worth more than 10 million hryvnias. No one will compensate for these losses, says the farmer. So the losses from the Russian Federation are no longer counted.

“500 tons of embankment were spoiled. This is only this year’s, and we are trying to export it. This is how it is now with us, everything is falling apart,” the farmer added.

Of the three thousand inhabitants, about two thousand remain in Vyshchetarasivka. Most at night, when artillery and drones are especially active, people leave for a quieter nearby village.

Veronika cannot live after a direct hit of hail in the house. He comes here to take care of the plants. The woman’s family has a nursery that grows about 160 types of conifers.

“We live here, we just go out to spend the night, because it’s scary here, we have small children, they don’t want to go here while there are shelling,” says the woman

When the projectile hit the roof of the house, the woman and her children were sleeping. The children are under the table, she is next to her on the floor.

“A shell of hail, it detonated on the roof. We were lucky, if he had detonated in the house, neither we nor the house would have been left. I simply covered them with myself, the windows began to rain, there was no light. On that day, many people were injured, houses were targeted,” recalls Veronika

Russian fire was directed at people’s houses by a young villager. He has already been detained.

Almost 300 houses were mutilated in the village. The Russians also tried to destroy the local cultural center. Three times he was under Russian fire. One of the shells did hit.

“The irony of fate is that there are 2 rooms in the museum, this is the room that is closer to here, it was the room of the history of the USSR and everything was destroyed. On the wall hung the flag of Ukraine painted by soldiers since 14. And he was left alone on the wall, everything was blown away, all the plaques of the figures of the USSR era, and the flag of Ukraine remained on the wall”, says Oleksandr Sivak, the headman of the Vyshchetarasiv Starosty District

The village of Vyshchetarasivka is located on the coastal territory of the Nikopol district. The temporarily occupied territory can be seen from the huts farthest from the reservoir.

“Unfortunately, the outermost streets suffer the most from shelling. Shelling is most common here. They are tough. Just a few days ago, there were 3 arrivals. Here is one of them. Under the house, damaged the house, appliances, windows. From the directions Energodar, Ivanivka, Blagovishchenka, Dniprorudne. From all. Artillery reaches 20 km away, so it can fire at us from any territory,” says Oleksandr Sivak

Most of the local residents do not spend the night in their homes, but they do not want to leave them. Because everyone believes in the victory of Ukraine.
