The Kakhovka Dam, the southernmost dam on the Dnipro River, collapsed on June 6, allowing 18 square kilometers of water to burst downstream at once, flooding cities and towns and creating humanitarian, nuclear, environmental, economic and other threats to Ukraine.
The destruction was caused by explosives planted by Russian troops under the control of the Russian authorities, who operated the hydroelectric plant.

Since the beginning of the tragedy, it was possible to evacuate 2,718 civilians, including 190 children. 5 people died.
35 people are still considered missing, including 7 children.
In the Mykolaiv region, 31 settlements were flooded. 982 Ukrainians were evacuated, including 167 children. One person died.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, there is no water supply for almost 162,000 subscribers in 34 settlements.
Flooding situation
