An explosion occurred at one of the enterprises of the Sumy region: the previous cause was a rocket hit

On January 31, at 6:20 p.m., an explosion occurred at one of Shostka’s state-owned enterprises. This is reported to the “North” operational command. As a result of the incident, two civilians were injured: they were hospitalized by “ambulance”. Previously, a rocket hit the construction site of the enterprise.

The Sumy regional military administration reported that the Russian occupiers shelled five communities of the Sumy region during the day.

Enemy troops from their territory attacked Shostkin, Seredino-Bud, Krasnopil, Bilopol and Yunakiv communities.

For shelling, the Russians used mortars, rockets, and also dropped explosives from quadcopters. A rocket hit an enterprise in the city of Shostka. Peaceful people were injured.

The Russian Federation continues to wage full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. The enemy does not abandon his intentions to destroy the critical infrastructure of our state, strikes at civilian objects and homes of the civilian population.

The threat of air and missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, suffering heavy losses. Conducts unsuccessful offensive actions in the Avdiyiv and Novopavliv directions. In the Kupyansk and Zaporizhzhіa directions, he leads the defense of previously captured lines.

The positions of our units and civilian objects are being shelled in the Kherson direction.

In the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no offensive groups of the enemy have been detected.

On the Siverskyi direction, the enemy fired mortars in the areas of Klyusy, Mystka, Huta-Studenetska, Leonivka settlements of Chernihiv region.

On January 31, the Russian occupying forces continued their criminal tactics of shelling the Ukrainian border.

The enemy inflicted fire damage using UAVs, mortars and one rocket. Krasnopilsk, Yunakivsk, Shostinsk and Seredino-Budsk communities of Sumy Oblast, Semenivsk community of Chernihiv Oblast came under enemy fire.

In the first half of the day, the Russian invaders twice covered the territory of the Krasnopil community with 82 mm mortars, in total almost two dozen hits were counted. The fire started from the Russian village of Staroselje. In addition, the enemy dropped two explosive charges from a drone on the territory of the same community.

Also, in two cases, the Russian occupiers dropped one explosive charge on the territory of the Yunakiv community from drones. Fortunately, there were no victims.

In the first half of the day, the Russian occupiers covered the territory of the Seredino-Buda community with fire from 82 mm mortars, a total of 25 explosions rang out. The fire started from the Russian settlement of Hruska. As a result of mortar attacks, a non-residential building and a transformer were damaged in the settlement. Fortunately, there were no victims.

Late in the evening, from the Russian settlement of Nadeyka, the Rashists launched 1 missile attack from an airplane on the Shostyna community. The building was damaged as a result of the rocket attack. Two people were injured.

The Russians opened fire from 120 mm mortars on the territory of the Semenivska community, 1 explosion was recorded. The fire broke out in the village of Kurkovichi.
