As a result of shelling by the occupiers of the Kherson region, the roof, farm buildings and hay were on fire

On August 4, the Russians carried out 52 shellings on the territory of the Kherson region. As a result, the roof of a residential building, an outbuilding and hay on the territory of a private household caught fire. On August 4, four people were injured in Kherson region due to shelling

This was reported to the head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

“Firefighters extinguished the fire upon arrival and provided the necessary assistance to the population,” the post reads.

Also, on August 4, there were 6 fires in ecosystems with a total area of 1,450 square meters in the region. The rescuers eliminated them.

They urge citizens not to violate fire safety rules in ecosystems, not to burn dry grass and garbage, and not to throw unextinguished butts into them.

Roman Sirko, head of the operational coordination center of the main administration of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, spoke about the condition of the rescuers who came under Russian fire during the liquidation of the consequences of the enemy attack on St. Catherine’s Cathedral.

Employees of the State Emergency Service, performing their functional duties, repeatedly come under fire from the Russians. Sometimes they purposefully hit the places where rescuers work.

“They are well aware that we have no weapons, we are carrying out a humanitarian mission, we are saving human lives,” he added.

“Unfortunately, three of our colleagues were injured as a result of repeated shelling of a religious institution. Called, inquired about their condition. Now they are in one of the medical institutions of the city of Odessa. They feel good, already much better.”

He noted that in July, the Russians carried out about two thousand shellings of the territory of the Kherson region, 180 of them in Kherson.

“Our work and the number of engagements directly depend on the intensity of these shellings. The more Russians release deadly iron on our territory, the more work we have to perform rescue and recovery work,” Sirko said.
