On the night of December 15, Russian troops carried out three shellings of communities in Sumy region, two casualties are known, fires broke out in private residential buildings, the regional authorities report.
“On the night and morning of December 15, the Russians carried out 3 shellings of border territories and settlements of Sumy region. 8 explosions were recorded. The Krasnopil, Chupakhiv and Seredino-Bud communities were subjected to shelling,” the Sumy regional military administration said in a statement.
According to the administration, in the Chupakhiv community, a “Shahed” UAV hit a private residential building, a civilian was injured. In the Seredino-Bud community, a private residential building was damaged as a result of an FPV drone attack. The enemy fired artillery at the Krasnopil community, six explosions were recorded.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on the evening of December 14, a fire broke out in a private home as a result of Russian shelling in the Okhtyrsky district. Rescuers quickly localized the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to three outbuildings.
The State Emergency Service also reports a fire in a private home due to an enemy attack in the Shostka district, rescuers extinguished the fire.
According to the National Police, two people were injured in the region on December 14.
“Two people were injured as a result of Russian shelling: police are documenting the consequences of the Russian Federation’s war crimes… Two private homes, three cars, an administrative and office building, a lyceum and a supermarket were damaged,” the agency said in a statement.
