On the evening of September 3, Serhii Kolesnichenko, vice president of the Judo Federation of the Sumy region, said that as a result of the Russian missile strike, the judo hall in the building of the Sumy State University was destroyed.

The damaged university is the biggest in the region. The targeted building suffered extensive damage. All floors in the building were destroyed and many windows shattered in nearby university buildings.

A 64-year-old security guard was injured.
