As a result of the attack on the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, 11 people died, 10 people were injured: the rescue operation continues

Rescuers continue to dismantle rubble at the site of the Russian attack on January 6 in the Pokrovsky district. A woman’s body was recovered from the rubble. This was reported in the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. “Pokrovsk district: as of 22:00, the body of a woman was recovered from the site of search operations. In total, 7 people were injured in the city of Pokrovsk, of which 1 person was rescued from the rubble. The body of a woman was recovered from the site of two destroyed private residential buildings, emergency operations are ongoing rescue operations are underway to search for 4 people, including 2 children,” the message reads.

At the same time, the State Emergency Service added that two people were injured in the village of Rivne, Pokrovsky District, which was also shelled by the Russians.

“At the site of the destroyed house, emergency and rescue operations are underway to search for 6 people, including 3 children, and 8.5 tons of destroyed elements of the house have been disassembled. Identification of the body fragments found is being carried out,” the rescuers said.

In addition, according to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, 11 people, including 5 children aged 3 to 17, were killed as a result of Russian strikes in the Pokrovskyі district. Another 10 people were injured.

Russian troops attacked Pokrovsk on the afternoon of January 6, resulting in destruction and casualties in the city. The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, noted that 11 people, including five children, were killed as a result of the shelling.
