As a result of the Russian attack on Nikopol, there is a dead and wounded person

Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, on the morning of May 14, 2024, the armed forces of the Russian Federation shelled the city of Nikopol with artillery.

A 45-year-old man died as a result of the shelling. A 47-year-old local resident received a shrapnel wound.

Private houses, farm buildings, power lines were damaged.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
