As a result of the war, eight medical facilities were completely destroyed in the Chernihiv region

A full-scale war has been going on for more than two years. The Russians are systematically attacking and bombing not only civilian infrastructure, but also health care facilities. In particular, hospitals, outpatient clinics, polyclinics, maternity hospitals, etc.

According to the Ministry of Health, in particular, in the Chernihiv region, 68 medical facilities were damaged and another eight were completely destroyed beyond repair.

Chernihiv region is one of the eight regions that suffered the greatest loss of medical facilities.

As of mid-July 2024, 1,636 medical facilities have already been damaged in Ukraine and another 214 have been completely destroyed. It is currently impossible to obtain complete information on the degree of destruction of medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.

Currently, 38 medical facilities and 19 have been partially restored in the Chernihiv region.

These are medical facilities in territories liberated from occupation, as well as facilities that have suffered minor damage: broken windows, destroyed roofs, damaged facades, etc. Work on the restoration of medical facilities will continue.
