At dawn, the Russians sneakily attacked Zaporizhzhia with rockets – the apartments and cars of civilian residents were damaged

In Zaporizhzhia, the morning of May 8 began with Russian strikes. People are recovering after massive shelling. Someone from Zaporizhzhia lost their property, and someone lost their dream. Among them is Vitaly Kvitko. The car, which he had recently overhauled, was damaged. Spent $3,000 on it. After the Russian attack, the car is no longer repairable.

– Not only money, but also soul has been invested in this car. Now there is nothing to repair at all… I thought it was safe here, because it is a completely closed area, everything is under guard. Only civilian cars, only civilian premises. However, as you can see, it is dangerous everywhere!

Natalia Oleksiivna is the owner of the damaged apartment. The windows in her house were blown out by the enemy’s arrival. The woman was frightened by the explosions and is still nervous.

“I was very scared! I’m still shaking, I drank a sedative, but it’s still scary,” says Ms. Natalia.

Rescuers were the first to arrive at the scene of the attack. Fortunately, no dead or injured were found.

Communal and other city services are now working there to eliminate the consequences of enemy strikes.

Representatives of humanitarian organizations also help the residents of the affected buildings: they provide repair materials, advise on the possibility of receiving financial assistance, and collect information about humanitarian needs.

“The Russians again massively attacked the peaceful Zaporizhzhia. They targeted critical and civil infrastructure facilities. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. According to preliminary data, 15 residential buildings, 3 educational institutions, a health care facility, a garage and 4 cars were damaged,” said Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
