At night in the Kyiv region, “Shakhed” fell and detonated right in the yard

On the night of September 16, Kyiv and the region were attacked by Russian drones. Fortunately, there were no hits to critical or civil infrastructure. However, debris from downed drones also caused damage to the region.

As the Kyiv Military City Administration reported, almost two dozen drones that tried to attack the capital were shot down. A total of 10 oblasts operated air defense units at night. It was loud, in particular, in the Kyiv region.

Broke right next to the house

In one of the settlements, “Shakhed” fell and detonated with a warhead right in the yard.

A local resident, Kateryna, says that explosions and the buzzing of a drone were very audible. They just hid with their son in the corridor between two walls. Everyone was very scared. They heard shrapnel falling on the house.

Another resident, whose house was damaged by the UAV attack, Tetyana, says that the windows, ceiling, and walls are damaged inside the house. At night, she went down to the basement with a smaller child. The shrapnel hit the eldest son a little, but he had already gone to study.

One of the damaged cars belongs to serviceman Maksym. The man is currently on rotation. He said that around two o’clock in the morning, a “shahed” was shot down nearby.

The warhead detonated and this machine took the hit. In fact, she saved my wife and I’s life. The neighbor received a shrapnel and is now in the hospital. It’s terrible when huge metal fragments and stones fly into your house, – said the soldier.

According to the local authorities, five cars were damaged in the village, three houses were badly damaged. Another two have broken windows. One woman is injured in the attack. A shrapnel hit her in the stomach. Now she has already been operated on.
