Later, he added, with reference to the data of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance, that after four o’clock in the morning an ambulance was fired upon, which was driving in Kupyansk to respond to a call. The paramedic, a 54-year-old man, was wounded. Help was rendered to him on the spot, the glass was shattered in the car by the blast wave.
Russian troops have been on the territory of the Kharkiv region since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine – from February 24. In late August – early September, the Ukrainian military launched a counteroffensive in the south and east of the country, which ended with the liberation of a significant part of the region’s territory.
As of October 25, 1.8% of the territory of the Kharkiv region (34 settlements) was under the control of the Russians, the regional administration noted. As of December 8, the number of occupied settlements decreased to 29.
The occupiers continue to shell the settlements of the Kharkiv region daily.

“Employees of the explosives service of the National Police of Ukraine have examined the territory with a total area of about 1,983.4 hectares since the beginning of the de-occupation measures. 26,845 explosive items have been recovered, 4,518 have been destroyed,” reports the communications department of the State Police of the Kharkiv region.
In addition, law enforcement officers registered 3,670 war crimes committed by invaders during the occupation. Of these criminal proceedings, the vast majority (3,256) were registered under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Another 356 criminal proceedings were initiated under Art. 111-1 (collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Over the past day, law enforcement officers together with the military checked 3,397 cars at checkpoints.
On suspicion of being involved in subversive intelligence groups and carrying out propaganda activities, 12 people were sent to the territorial units of the police for verification.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region examined more than two hectares of territory for the presence of explosive objects.

In general, starting from September 8, pyrotechnicians surveyed 1,710 hectares of territory, 248.6 km of highways, 579.7 km of power lines, 156 km of railway tracks and 187 km of gas pipelines, where 45 thousand 950 GNPs were detected and neutralized.
