The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to shoot down 15 missiles and 21 drones. Two people were injured and houses were damaged in Kyiv region.
An 11-year-old child and a 68-year-old man were injured on June 2 as a result of a night air attack by the Russian Federation in the Kyiv region. They were injured by falling debris. The adult was operated on, there are no threats to his life, said the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko.
In addition, five private houses were damaged. In three – broken windows, chopped facades, in two – there were fires, they were eliminated. Debris also damaged several cars and windows in one of the office premises. A pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war has been launched, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported.
Air defense shot down all missiles and drones
At the same time, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces notes that all 15 cruise missiles and 21 attack drones that attacked Ukraine at night were destroyed.
“First, the Russian troops attacked with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones – around 11:00 p.m. on the night of June 2. They entered from the south, using the topography of the area and the channel of the Dnieper,” the Armed Forces said.
“About 3:00 a.m., Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles launched by Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea were already in the airspace of Ukraine. They entered from the north, attacking Kyiv, maneuvering, trying to mislead our air defense,” – the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
