On the night of July 14, Russian troops launched an attack on Kirovohrad Region using strike drones. According to the head of the regional military administration, Andriy Raykovych, air defense forces responded promptly and successfully destroyed the Russian drones over the region. However, the debris from the downed UAVs led to two incidents on the ground.
One of the drones fell directly into a field sown with wheat. The impact caused a fire that could have spread due to the hot weather and dry vegetation. However, the State Emergency Service units arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the fire, preventing the flames from spreading further.
Another drone fell in the immediate vicinity of a private house in the Kropyvnytskyi district. Fortunately, there were no destruction or casualties – the debris did not hit the house, and the residents were not injured.
“On the night of July 14, the Kirovohrad region was subjected to another Russian UAV attack. Due to the debris of the downed drone, a fire broke out in a 20-hectare wheat field in the Kropyvnytskyi district of the region. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage,” the rescuers of the State Emergency Service reported.
