Attack on Kyiv: Victims include food security guard and two people in a minibus

A Russian missile attack in Kyiv on the morning of January 18 killed a food security guard and two people in a minibus on the street.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into criminal proceedings for committing a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

“Currently, 3 people are known to have died – a food security guard and two people in a minibus on the street in one of the districts of the capital,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement.

The blast wave damaged the building of a business center, the entrance to the Kyiv Metro station, and the premises of a food facility.

Windows were broken and the facades of residential buildings and at least 10 cars were damaged.

Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene, recording another war crime by the Russian Federation.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
