Attack on the Kyiv HPP: there is damage, but there is no threat of a breakthrough

As the general director of “Ukrhydroenergo” Ihor Syrota said, it is very difficult to destroy the Kyiv HPP, but if it happens, it can flood basements in the districts of Kyiv adjacent to the Dnipro and for a certain time, drinking water will disappear. He stated that the largest Ukrainian hydropower plants are practically impossible to destroy from the outside.

During the mass attack on August 26, rockets and drones were aimed at the Kyiv hydroelectric plant. As a result of shelling, there are hits and damage. However, there is no threat of a dam breach or critical damage to the station.
