Avdiyivka was destroyed, Bakhmut was destroyed by 80% – Kyrylenko told about the situation

The Russians are conducting “scorched earth” tactics in Donetsk region. February 2023 became a very “hot” month for Donetsk region — 80% of Bakhmut was destroyed, the occupiers hit Kurakhovo almost every day, and there are battles near Ugledar.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, spoke about the situation in the region and how people are surviving.

According to him, the Russians are advancing on Donetsk region before the anniversary of the full-scale war — the enemy has become more active in the Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Ugledar areas.

 “Prohibited weapons are actually being used on the front-line territory every day. In general, the Russians use all available weapons. Almost every other day, they shell the Kurakhiv community.

The last time there were no victims, there is the destruction of private houses, there is getting into the roadway. Avdiivka is actually completely destroyed, the destruction of Bakhmut exceeds 80%. The situation is the same along the entire front line – the enemy has no opportunity to capture these cities and uses “scorched earth” tactics. The enemy’s offensive continues, but the plans they set for themselves, then they postpone – they do not succeed in anything,” said Pavlo Kyrylenko.

He added that together with the military and the command, everything is being done to block the enemy’s access to roads of common and state importance, along which humanitarian aid is delivered, as well as for the possibility of evacuation. People who refused to evacuate from front-line cities and towns have access to products. The power supply is immediately restored by heroic energy workers after the shelling, even in Chasovoy Yar, which is already close to the front line.

Also, everything is being done not to let the enemy pass further and then to de-occupy the territories of Donetsk region occupied by the Russians since 2014.

The Russians failed to repulse Bakhmut from the south, and they are firing at it without aiming.
