Bakhmut was destroyed by 60%, the enemy was pushed outside the city – the head of the regional military administration

The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that as a result of the hostilities, Bakhmut was destroyed by more than 60%. The city lives under constant shelling.

According to Pavlo Kyrilenko, our soldiers bravely defend the city and prevent the Russian invaders from advancing – the enemy has been pushed outside the city.

People are dying in the city due to constant shelling.

– The enemy is pushed back to their previous positions, i.e. beyond the city limits… Our defenders bravely defend Bakhmut and prevent the enemy from advancing. But, unfortunately, the city itself suffers from this, which is more than 60% destroyed. Constant shelling continues. So, today (January 4 – Ed.) two civilians – two women – died as a result of artillery shelling in Bakhmut, Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

It is worth noting that Bakhmut is one of the most difficult areas on the front.

Earlier, Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Volodymyr Nazarenko said that the losses of the occupying assault groups in Bakhmut reached 80%. According to him, the enemy is trying to storm in small detachments of 8, 10-20 people.

As a result of military operations, the city of Bakhmut suffered great destruction. More than 60% of Bakhmut was destroyed during the fighting and the Russian offensive on the city, which has been going on for six months.

The head of the region reported that the Ukrainian military is still defending the city. They pushed back the Russian occupiers from captured positions, that is, outside the city.

“Our defenders are clearly adapted to the enemy’s tactics and courageously defend Bakhmut and do not give the enemy the opportunity to advance. But, unfortunately, the city itself suffers from this, which is now more than 60% destroyed,” Kyrylenko said.

In fact, they are now in a flat wasteland, which also contributes to the huge loss of personnel.

The day before, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced 300 meters in the Bakhmut direction and secured new positions after an unsuccessful assault by the occupiers in Donbas.

On January 4, in the afternoon, Russian troops again shelled Bakhmut artillery in Donetsk region. Two women died.

The Russians weakened their attack on Bakhmut and switched to Soledar.

“Putin’s cook” also admitted that the occupying forces cannot capture Bakhmut.

As a result of a projectile hit in Bakhmut, another historic building on the street was damaged. Vasyl Pershyn (formerly Komsomolska). This was reported by the press service of the Donetsk regional military administration on January 4.

 The projectile pierced the wall of the building, which is located at the intersection of Pershin and Sadova (formerly Petrovsky) streets. The building was built before 1900 and has been used for business purposes for the past 15 years. Before the start of hostilities, it housed a driving school, a fitness club, and a store. Previously, it housed the structures of the Department of Education. Presumably, the building originally served as a mansion of one of the Bakhmut merchants.

In the village of Yuryivka, Mariupol district, where the Buryats are based, a herd of goats belonging to local residents has disappeared.

Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, announced this on social networks.

“Suddenly. It seemed to me, why bother here? But, no. In this case, just a direct chain. There were goats and hungry Buryats. There are no goats, but there are plenty of buryats. Laughter and sin… Pity the owner of the goats, a resident of Yevgeny, who is waiting for a miracle by the phone. The people of Mariupol are under occupation, tell him that the goats are gone,” the message reads.

During a conversation on one of the social networks, the Russian occupier from Buryatia told how they were destroying Mariupol. The Russians fired at residential buildings, because they could see Ukrainian defenders everywhere.

In addition, in Mariupol, the occupiers demolished buildings in the Left Bank district. Among them are two kindergartens, a school and a children’s rehabilitation center. Now housing for the Russian military will be built here.

The Russian occupiers took 30 local residents from the suburb of Bakhmut, which they destroyed. People were transported to Rostov for “filtration”.

Under the guise of “evacuation” from the combat zone, people were transported to filtration camps, where their future fate will now be decided.

“The reason for the removal is supposedly humane intentions to protect people from hostilities, but we emphasize that they were removed for filtering,” the Center of National Resistance notes.

They said there that the occupiers are also shelling the settlements they captured in the Kherson region, in order to have grounds for the forced evacuation of the local population to the filtration camps there as well. Then they face detention or resettlement in remote regions of the Russian Federation.

“We note that the occupiers are also blocking the departure of people from the Temporarily Occupied Territories to the territories under the control of the Government of Ukraine, which also indicates the real intentions of the enemy, namely the deportation of Ukrainians,” the message said.

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, the Russian invaders also continue to terrorize the local population. The enemy blocked the village of Polovynkine near Starobilsk for “filtration measures”.

Maryinka came under intense fire from the occupiers. Single hits were recorded in Avdiivka.

2 people died in the Horliv direction and 1 person was injured in Bakhmut. A high-rise building was destroyed in Chasovoy Yar, 4 more houses and a hospital building were damaged, and a 5-story building was damaged in Soledar.

In the Lysychansk direction, Russian troops fired a S-300 missile at the Liman. Torske and Zarichne also came under fire.
