Ballistic strike on Odesa April 29: Russian troops used a rocket with shrapnel

On April 29, during a rocket attack against Odesa, the Russian military used a rocket with shrapnel to hit civilians in an effort to kill as many people as possible.

This was stated by the head of the Strategic Communications Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk.

According to him, experts are now finding out what type of weapon the Russians used: “But I can state that there are holes from shrapnel on the walls around the affected object, which is used to destroy manpower and conduct hostilities. But not for strikes on civilian infrastructure and civilians.”

Meanwhile, the building of the Odessa Law Academy, which is known as “Harry Potter’s castle” or “Kivalov’s castle”, cannot be extinguished. Due to the location, the emergency services technician cannot come closer than 600 meters. The number of dead also increased – up to four people, all women.

It became known about the attack of the Russians on Odesa in the evening of April 29. Local residents heard loud explosions around 18:28. First, there was information about one ballistic missile that was shot down by air defense forces. However, it was later clarified that the second rocket could reach and hit the restaurant, which is called “Harry Potter’s Palace”. Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, reported that two people were killed as a result of the Russian strike. A dog also died. According to updated information, 28 people were injured. Among them are two children (16 and 5 years old) and one pregnant woman. Four wounded are in serious condition, doctors are now fighting for their lives.”

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Russian troops had previously attacked the city with ballistics. As a result of the strike, civil infrastructure was damaged: residential buildings, an educational institution.
