The DTEK energy group of companies said that the invaders targeted their facility in the Dnipro region. Currently, specialists are engaged in restoration work and assessing the damage. Repair of the energy infrastructure is also underway in Ukraine. Energy experts say that Ukraine will enter the heating season with approximately the same capacities as in 2022.
The Russian military fired at a warehouse with materials of a large energy company of Ukraine. Cables, transformers, disconnectors and other equipment were damaged in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by the press service of DTEK. Currently, the company’s specialists continue to assess the damage and plan how to stop the need for destroyed materials.
No matter how hard the Russians try, they will not succeed in disrupting our preparations for the heating season. Ukrainians cannot be broken – we will stand up and win – said DTEK.
DTEK is the largest private investor in the energy industry of Ukraine. The company produces electricity at solar, wind and thermal power plants, extracts coal and natural gas, trades energy products, distributes electricity and has a network of charging stations.
Energy infrastructure is being repaired in Ukraine.
Currently, no shutdowns of household consumers are expected during the entire autumn-winter period. Currently, Ukraine is undergoing the largest repair campaign at energy facilities since its independence.
Preparations for winter are still ongoing, until November we have time to prepare, in particular, to go through difficult scenarios that may be caused by the shelling of Russian troops – said the head of the parliamentary committee on energy and housing and communal services Andriy Gerus.
According to him, Ukraine will enter the heating season with approximately the same capacities as last year. However, the question is not only whether there will be enough generation, but also the ability to distribute electricity. And here everything depends on how the Russian Federation will attack the energy infrastructure of Ukraine in winter.
